In order to keep the author's original style as much as possible, I feel Sentence 1 is OK to stay to keep the author's style. Sentence 2 is OK to stay to keep the local dialect, "租汽车". Sentence 3 is a attributive clause. It is better to keep the modified word "人". It is clear to say "载我去上班的人是我喜欢的男人". Sentence 4 is OK except that we change "做" into "坐".
