In my city we celebrate Saint Conus Day.
Every June 3rd (which is the traditional birth date of Saint Conus) about 30,000 people from all over the country make their pilgrimage to this place to pay tribute to their beloved saint.
It is a religious and popular celebration where the people visit the Chapel and take part in the pilgrimage trough the principal streets.However, there are many other activities in the week
in my country Carnival is a popular celebration The Uruguayan Carnival is the longest in the world; the celebrations take place during an entire month (on February). Murga and candombre are interesting and, unique cultural expressions The Murga is a Montevidean musical theater for Carnival celebrations with high content of humor and satire on the social and political events of the day. Candombe through the streets of Montevideo: the singers sharing their hearts through the music.

It is a religious and popular celebration where the people visit the Chapel and take a part in the pilgrimage's carnaval that it walks through the main streets. However, there are many other activities during that week in my country. Carnival is a popular celebration. The Uruguayan Carnival is one of the longest period festival in the world; the celebration takes place for an entire month (usually in February). Murga and Candombre are interesting and unique cultural expressions. The Murga is a Montevidean musical theater of the carnival celebrations with high content of humor and satire on the social and political events of the day. Candombe walks through the streets of Montevideo when the singers sharing what they feels through the music.
