    Ryba, you see how many ways one can express the same idea?

    I think the keys on your keyboard may sometimes fail you. A county is a smaller geographic governing entity, smaller than a region, larger than a town. Poland is a country (see the "R"?).

    ...and now I can pretend that I learned something from those lessons...well, I remember, even if I may not have learned it yet)...While English may not have seven cases, it does have its own rule to indicate...almost...dopełniacz (kogo?, czego?). Possession is shown by using 's after the noun. So, "My country's name is Poland.

    Belarus and Ukraine are east of it. (or east of Poland, or any of the other choices people have suggested.) but Germany is west, (or west of Poland, to the west, in the west...say it many ways, and hope that Belarus, Ukraine, and Germany remain where they are, and not in Poland..)

    I may not try political or historical jokes again...I think that one may not have been too funny...

    My country is called Poland. It's at the centre of Europe. Poland is in the EU. To the north lies the Baltic, Russia and Lithuania. To the east Belarus and Ukraine. To the south are the Czech lands and Slovakia, leaving Germany in the west.

    Some good prose. Well done.

    This is very good writing. I have only one small thing to add:

    "center" = US spelling

    "centre" = UK spelling

    Well done!

    My county's  name is Poland. It is in the center of Europe. Poland is a member of the European Union. The Baltic Sea, Russia and Lithuania are to the north  of my country. Belarus and Ukraine are to the east of. The Czech Republic and Slovakia are south of Poland but Germany is to the west.

    'to the east/west/north/south of' is how positions are described in English.

    When saying that then 'of my country' is unnecessary as you've already introduced the subject, your country. 'The Baltic Sea, Russia and Lithuania are to the north'

    When using the possessive put an 's after the owner.

    My country's name is....

    My friend's car is ....   etc.

    My country's name is Poland. It's in the middle of Europe. Poland is a member of the European Union. The Baltic Sea, Russia, and Lithuania are north of Poland. Belarus and Ukraine are east of Poland. The Czech Republic and Slovakia are south of Poland. And Germany is west of Poland.

    A synonym for "center" is "middle". Also. Near the end of your paragraph, you end your sentences many different ways to express the same idea. Use the same ending to indicate parallel thought. It's a writing style.

    Other than that. Very Well Done!!! :)

    As Professor of English I would do it this way:

    Simple, to the point and piercing, yet geographically explanatory.

    My country is Poland, and it is located in the center of Europe, facing north onto the Baltic Sea. Yet, Russia and Lithuania are also north of it.  belarus and the Ukraine are to the east. The Czech Republic and Slovakia are to the south, while Germany is on the west.

    Ryba, you asked me to review some for you. I am an archaeologist/ecologist so I have made and studied thousands of maps and military images.  It is fun to learn topography. (I expect you to look up that word). I also have described the location of thousands of places in books and reports.  SO HERE IS MY CONTRIBUTION TO YOU ON THIS!  Put in  a much information as you can, so the reader has a good "picture" of the location you are describing.  You can be very descriptive or  only give a glimpse of a place. But, GOOD WORK! Your spelling is great! Your sentence structure is well done. And, of course you can do as others have suggested: the posssive: My country's name is Poland. and ...east of it. GREAT! And, I like the books you read and they way you recommend them! kALI

    (Practice using pronouns "it" when you can, have fun with the sentence).
